~ About me - the Artist...
My jewelry is designed and created by myself using my own handcrafted flamework beads, semi-precious gem stones, Swarovski crystals, Bali & Sterling silver and other natural materials .
In 2003, I took a course in flameworking and became passionate about the art, which involves the melting of glass over a torch flame to create unique, hand-formed glass beads. I create my beads in my studio out back that my husband built for me. My setup includes: a Minor torch, natural gas, an oxygen tank, Morretti/Effetre glass from Italy, Reichenbach glass from Germany, fine silver/gold/palladium leafs, frits and enamels using a wide array of tools. All my beads are kiln-annealed overnight for strength and durability.
My mission is to provide finely handcrafted flamework beads and jewelry. I strive to provide a rich and rewarding experience through my flamework art. My jewelry and flamework beads are created to be of heirloom quality and to provide other jewelry artists with the perfect foundation for their own creations.
